OIL PAINTING APHRODITE

Hi guys, I'm Antonio, today I would share with you one of my oil paintings, that i called Aphrodite.

The ispiration was born one day when i seen some oil paintings of Bouguereau and Boticelli.

I started to make some research and i've seen one pics of Valentino's fashion show. The eyes of this model striked me, but beyond the eyes, the dress was perfect.

The idea was to represent a famouse figure in modern key.

The bleu colour, yellow of naples, white skin, everything that symbolizes purity and freedom. Transfigure and  change a legendary figure of the Greek goddes of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation.
